Rostelecom IFRS net profit rises 9.5% to 3.1 bln rbl in Apr–Jun
MOSCOW, Aug 2 (PRIME) -- The net profit of Russian state-controlled telecom operator Rostelecom increased 9.5% on the year to 3.1 billion rubles in April–June, as calculated under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), the company said on Thursday in a statement.
Revenue rose 2.9% to 77.4 billion rubles, and content and digital service revenue spiked 16.2% to 41.3 billion rubles.
Operating income before depreciation and amortization (OIBDA) decreased 3.8% to 23.7 billion rubles. The OIBDA margin lost 2.1 percentage points to 30.6%.
Capital expenditures increased 16% to 14.4 billion rubles.
In January–June, the net profit increased 16.4% on the year to 7 billion rubles. Revenue rose 5.5% to 153.6 billion rubles, and content and digital service revenue spiked 18.7% to 81.5 billion rubles.
OIBDA rose 1.5% to 46.2 billion rubles. The OIBDA margin lost 1.2 percentage points to 31.7%.
Capital expenditures decreased 2% to 29.6 billion rubles.
Rostelecom also confirmed its 2018 outlook for revenue growth at more than 2%, the OIBDA margin at above 31.5%, and capital expenditures at 60–65 billion rubles, excluding state programs.
